Dental Prophylaxis | Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. |
Tumor Removal
Orthopedic Surgery
Ear Trimming Ear cropping is a cosmetic surgical procedure in which a portion of the ear is removed on certain breeds of dogs. Dr. Rogers is experienced in doing show cuts for all breeds. The breeds most often associated with cropped ears include: schnauzers, boxers, Great Danes, Doberman pinschers and miniature pinschers. The procedure is not always successful. Every animal has individual differences in their ears and surgery may not result in completely erect ears.

Pain Management | Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. All surgical patients are provided with pain medication while in the hospital and sent home with pain medication when necessary. |
Boarding
Boarding Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care (such as brushing and cuddling), and supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active. It's a home away from home.

Internal Medicine
Heartworm Treatment Heatworm disease is a very serious disease caused by mosquitos. It interferes with the blood flow through the heart. If left untreated it could result in congestive heart failure and ultimately death. Diagnosis of heartworms can be done in the office by a blood test. If your pet is positive for heartworms, a complete physical exam, laboratory testing and x-rays will be done to determine the severity of the disease and your pet's health status. This will assure the best course of action and success rate for your pet. Heartworms can be treated with a highly effective medication called immiticide. The process consists of two injections given 24 hours apart. Your pet will be hospitalized so that they can be carefully monitored. Three weeks following the treatment, ivermectin is given orally to kill immature heartworms in the bloodstream, and then a heartworm test is done ten days later to determine if your pet is now negative for heartworms. Then your pet must stay on heartworm preventative to prevent reoccurence. Your pet will not be immune. |
